Founded by Leaders in Global Business

ESMT European School of Management and Technology was founded in October 2002 on the initiative of 25 leading German companies and institutions. The founders aimed at establishing an international business school, based in Germany, with a distinct European profile.

As a private institution of higher education, ESMT has provided executive education since 2003 and an international one-year Full-time MBA program since 2006. In october 2007 ESMT started a 2-year part-time  Executive MBA program.
ESMT's main campus is in Berlin.  ESMT is a fully state-accredited private university.

The ESMT Full-time MBA: General Management and leadership focus

The one-year Full-time MBA is composed of two main phases: Mastering Management and  Taking the Lead. During the first phase participants obtain a solid foundation in the fundamentals of management. During phase two participants develop the ability to make a difference - the ability to steer changes, achieve innovation, and to mobilize a team - even an entire company - around a common goal.

Therefore participants of the ESMT Full-time MBA program benefit from:

  • Unique access to multinational corporations that results in career opportunities after graduation
  • An innovative combination of academic and hands-on coursework
  • Hand-picked classmates with proven professional experience
  • International faculty with experience at top business schools and in executive education programs worldwide
  • Life in the heart of Europe with Berlin's cosmopolitan choice of cultural, entertainment and leisure activities
  • Substantial scholarships provided by ESMT sponsors

The ESMT Executive MBA: Focus on Technology, Innovation and International Management

The ESMT two-year part-time Executive MBA consists of three main phases during which the participants first acquire a solid foundation in general management issues, before building their distinctive edge in one of two focus-areas (technology management and innovation or international management) and developing their strategic leadership capabilities. The third phase is integrative in nature, requiring that participants bring together the various dimensions of managing a business and leading people and organizations. This phase includes an international field seminar and a master's thesis based on a practice project.
