At MBS we value good research, teaching, and interaction between business and academia. Our faculty are excellent teachers and world leaders in their fields; they are actively engaged with business and share their up-to-date business knowledge with our students. Students also benefit from access to one of the most comprehensive career services in the Asia Pacific. This service is dedicated to securing positive career outcomes for our students.
The MBS MBA Program
The MBS MBA has been designed to promote career development and help students build their personal and leadership skills. Through this process, they extend their technical knowledge and gain access to networks vital to being a successful manager. The focus is on exploring cutting-edge management themes in a well-structured, proactive and collaborative study environment, using cases and teaching materials focusing on Australian, Asian and global issues.
The course is ranked No1 in Australia and No. 26 world-wide by the Economist Intelligence Unit (2009). It is academically rigorous and includes compulsory core subjects and electives. The core subjects develop student knowledge and understanding of the many functional aspects of business operations. The electives allow students to maintain a broad focus, to complement previous competences or to concentrate on a preferred specialisation. Students can also enrich their experience and build on their learning by studying overseas. As part of their program MBA students can spend a term abroad studying at one of more than 40 prestigious international partner business schools including 20 ranked in the Financial Times top 50.
The Executive MBA
The MBS Executive MBA (EMBA) is one of the most innovative management development programs available in the Asia-Pacific region for senior executives with a minimum 10 years of work experience. The diverse EMBA class consists of proven achievers with a determination to make immediate contributions to their organisations.
Participants commit to four highly intensive residential modules, each of four weeks duration, over an elapsed period of 14 months. Upon their return to the workplace in the intervening periods, they are immediately able to apply the knowledge gained. All of the month long modules focus on covering the MBA curriculum, adopting an integrative approach that brings together different concepts from the various disciplines. In the second module students consolidate their module one learning by visiting the USA, Germany and China.

Other programs offered by the School alongside the MBA suite include the Master of Marketing, the Master of Innovation and the PhD by research.
