The Haskayne School of Business was founded at the University of Calgary in 1967, and was named in honour of Richard F. Haskayne, OC, AOE, FCA in 2002. The business school has more than 3,600 full- and part-time students enrolled in bachelor's, master's and doctorate programs, The school plays an important role in shaping the next generation of leaders in Canada’s most enterprising city and has over 24,000 alumni in over 80 countries worldwide.
Calgary’s business community supports the Haskayne School of Business, through numerous sponsorships, partnerships and other relationships. Calgary business executives frequently speak at Haskayne events, and many businesses seek out Haskayne interns and alumni when hiring. Programme Info

The Daytime and Evening MBA programs offer flexible study opportunities to meet student’s needs. Targeted at early-mid career professionals, this program is designed to help students grow their careers. This program offers plenty of opportunities for students to customize their experience, including internships, study abroad, specialization options and case competitions.
The Executive MBA program is designed for mid-senior career professionals across a variety of industries, with curriculum designed to draw from the cohort's breadth of knowledge and experience. This is a 2-year program, with courses on alternating Fridays and Saturdays (one week on/one week off) and one intensive week per semester, and is designed to allow students to work full-time while completing their degree.
The Global Energy Executive MBA program offers admission in alternating years (next admission is September 2018). Targeted at mid-senior level energy professionals around the world, this program allows students to explore traditional MBA topics in ways that relate to the global energy industry, while expanding their professional networks. Taught in a blended learning format, students meet up for 6 modules in major international energy centres, while completing pre- and post-module work online. This allows students to live work full time in their home country, meeting up with the class for the modules.

Admissions

Daytime/Evening

 

  • A GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or higher in the last two years of a four year undergraduate degree, graduate degree of professional degree (e.g., Medicine, Law) from an accredited university; AND
  • At least two years’ professional work experience; AND
  • A score of 550 or higher in the GMAT exam.

Executive MBA

  • A GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or higher in the last two years of a four year undergraduate degree, graduate degree or professional degree (e.g., Medicine, Law) from an accredited university AND at least seven years’ progressive work experience; OR
  • A GPA of less than 3.0 (out of 4.0) in a university degree as described above AND at least seven years’ progressive work experience AND a score of 500 or higher in the GMAT exam; OR
  • At least ten years’ progressive work experience AND a score of 500 or higher in the GMAT exam.

Global Energy Executive MBA
