The University of St.Gallen MBA Full-Time Programme

The University of St.Gallen MBA programme was founded in 2005 and strives to develop competent, entrepreneurial and internationally oriented managers who can master tomorrow's challenges. The Full-time MBA is an intensive 11 month experience, taught entirely in English, with a general management approach that offers students the option to tailor the programme towards their own specific career needs. The content of each course is drawn from theory and business cases from all over the world, which, alongside an internationally mobile faculty and highly diverse student body, has ensured a truly international experience for our students. We only accept a maximum of 50 students in our class and place special emphasis on promoting diversity within our groups.

We invest significant resources in providing individual industry coaching, career planning and mentoring services. Each MBA participant has a personal Coaching Programme, which will help to identify their personal strengths and weaknesses and initiate a targeted reflection process with the aim to develop responsible leaders. We build upon our strong business network and invite corporates to take an active part in teaching and learning activities, through in-house leadership training workshops, 'industry insights' courses and weekly company presentations. In addition to this, each MBA participant is introduced to a mentor from a relevant position or industry. This enables MBAs to grow their industry or role specific knowledge and enhance their professional network, facilitating a purposeful and successful entry in the post-graduate labour market.

The University of St.Gallen MBA Part-Time Programme

The University of St.Gallen launched a Part-time option alongside the full-time MBA in 2008. The Programme is designed with working professionals in mind and is intended to allow participants to remain in full-time employment at the same time as having the benefit of an MBA education. Approximately 50 places are available on the programme each year.

The programme is clear in its objectives, precise in its delivery, and consistently effective in progressing participants' capabilities; from the acquisition of general management knowledge, through exploration and enhancement of participants' leadership competencies, and definition of their areas of expertise, to the ultimate goal of significant impact and advancement in their current workplace. The part-time MBA is delivered in 73 on-campus days divided in monthly modules of 4 days (Wednesday-Saturday). Modules will take place in St.Gallen and Zurich with additional modules in across major European cities and business hubs.

The staff are of the highest academic calibre, comprised of University of St.Gallen professors, as well as distinguished professors from other competitive business schools, with professional experience in a variety of organisations. They combine pedagogical excellence, experience in helping senior executives to think in new ways, knowledge of the latest trends, and pragmatism in applying knowledge and methodology to real situations.
