School Profiles
Founded in 1907, HEC Montréal quickly became one of the top locations for management training and research in Canada. It was the first management school in North America to hold the three most prestigious accreditations in the world in management teaching: AACSB International (US), EQUIS (Europe) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA) in the United Kingdom. The School's faculty numbers 270 professors and 500 lecturers trained at the world's leading universities. HEC Montréal welcomes some 12,000 students, close to 33% of whom come from outside Quebec.
Its One-Year MBA is listed in some of the world's most prestigious rankings: Bloomberg Businessweek (2010), Forbes (2011), AméricaEconomía (2010), Expansión (2011) and Poets & Quants (2012).
Focusing on practice, its teaching methods prepare managers to apply their skills in a complex environment while taking into account all facets of organizational management. In addition to fostering teamwork, the learning process involves the case method, role-playing games, individual and group oral presentations, and computer simulations. In addition, business leaders interact with students in classes and during school sponsored debates and conferences.
Offered in English or in French, this world-class program delivers an outstanding value, with exceptionally competitive tuition fees, and a great ROI. In just one year, students have access to generous scholarships, a stellar placement rate (91% 6 months after graduation), an extensive network of lasting contacts (69 000 graduates around the world), and the possibility of a multilingual, multicultural experience in a great city.
