The Prague Campus at Anglo-American University
Chapman University is an established and reputable university; it is ranked #6 in the USA’s Western Region and considered “Most Innovative.” The AACSB-accredited Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University offers its students access to an integrated business education taught by experienced faculty who are dedicated and committed teaching professionals. The AACBS accreditation of the School of Business and Economics guarantees top quality for its MBA program in Prague.
AAU is the oldest private institution of higher education in the Czech Republic and one of the few universities globally — the first institution in Europe — to have received prestigious accreditation from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), an American accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. AAU stands proud in the historic city center of Prague, at its campus in the newly restored Thurn-Taxis Palace.
About the program and its structure:
Since 1978, Chapman University has produced over 3000 business graduates, and in 2008 it partnered with AAU in Prague to extend its MBA degree program to Europe.
After completing the 17-month weekend MBA studies in Prague, the graduates are awarded the same U.S. diploma as all other Chapman graduates. Classes begin each year at the beginning of October, and are taught on weekends in a uniquely structured program to accommodate employed students. Your career doesn’t have to pause while you further your education.
Beginning with Accounting and Financial Analysis, the program's curriculum places emphasis on strategy formation, execution and evaluation, challenging their established way of thinking. The program concludes with three elective courses focused on the preferred business areas. Students are also encouraged to take one elective course at Chapman University itself, in California.
Our teaching methodology is based on the best traditions of both Chapman University and AAU, consisting of interactive work in small groups combined with the application of theoretical knowledge through concrete examples and extensive class discussions.
With this structure, the Chapman Prague MBA program is undertaken by a number of highly ranked business professionals who are already successful in their respective professional fields. We are proud to educate top project managers, general managers, financial directors and analysts, risk managers, division directors from various international companies such as Deloitte, Hewlett-Packard, DHL, SAB Miller, Oracle, Boston Science, Foxconn, U.S. Airforce, Exxon mobile, Accenture, Skoda auto, etc.
Chapman Prague MBA students are taught by qualified and experienced faculty, using highly interactive Western style teaching methods to engage students in participative learning. 60% of the program’s credits are taught by Chapman University professors, while the remaining courses are taught by local industry experts holding prestigious degrees, including professionals from Fortune 500 global companies based in Prague. This brings real-world experience to the classroom and helps bridge the gap between theory and application.
An attractive destination for citizens of the globe due to its safety and affordability, Prague is brimming with entrepreneurship and endeavors from design, to sustainability initiatives. Meanwhile, its central location in Europe and well-developed distribution, logistics, and supply networks make it a regional hub for major international companies like Amazon and Google.
The quality of the program is ensured by two levels of accreditation. First, Chapman Argyros School of Business is accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the “gold standard” of business school accreditation. Secondly, both Chapman University and AAU are regionally accredited by WSCUC (WASC Senior College and University Commission), one of six American regional accreditation associations acknowledged by the U.S. Department of Education. The Chapman Prague MBA program is the only MBA program in the Czech Republic to be so robustly accredited and highly ranked.
While the cost in the United States of an MBA there can easily exceed $100,000 when factoring in living expenses, studying Chapman MBA at the Prague campus offers tremendous savings, coming in at just $20,000 for the entire 17-month MBA program. The cost of living in Prague is also less than half that of New York, London, or Los Angeles.
