Mission
We advance knowledge and develop business leaders with moral courage and creative confidence to be a force for good in the global community.
Made in L.A.
Los Angeles is the creative capital of the world and a global engine of innovation and invention. The LMU campus is centered in the heart of Silicon Beach, a thriving coastal startup community stretching from Santa Monica to El Segundo. Silicon Beach is home to Google, Facebook, Snapchat, Yahoo!, Hulu, The Honest Company, YouTube and more than 1,000 startups, venture capital firms and business incubators. The CBA experience is invigorated by real-world learning opportunities across our incredible city — internships, industry mentors, global conferences, networking events and more.
Rewarding and Relevant
For 95 years, CBA has built a national reputation for its academic rigor and commitment to the Jesuit values of ethical stewardship and compassionate service. Led by an extraordinary faculty of teacher-scholars, our students learn the tremendous opportunities and real challenges of a globally connected, 21st century business world.
AACSB Accreditation
CBA is a proud member of AACSB International - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Less than 5% of the world's 16,000 business programs have earned AACSB accreditation. Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest serving and largest global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.
The LMU College of Business Administration offers 2 ways to earn your MBA.
MBA Program: Education Beyond a Degree
Whether you're looking to further your education, considering a job change or interested in career advancement, our program can help you realize your full potential with our small classes, outstanding faculty and strong academic reputation. Embracing the Jesuit ideal of "educating the whole person," our curriculum is designed to make you an engaged participant — giving you the ability to tailor your degree to meet your personal needs and professional aspirations. In addition to core business skills, graduate students receive leadership training, develop communication skills and gain practice in case analysis and ethical reasoning.
The MBA program is designed to be completed in 2 years on a part-time basis; admission is offered for fall and spring enrollment. During your first year, you complete the MBA core courses, and during the second year, you focus on your area of emphasis, elective courses and global study. Each student participates in an orientation program, 2 workshops and an international trip.
While approximately 90 percent of LMU MBA students choose to complete the program in 2 years, students requiring more flexibility have the option to extend the program to 3 years by taking a reduced course load each semester.
Classes are offered Monday to Thursday starting at 6:30 p.m. to provide students with the ability to balance work and school.
Executive MBA: Develop Your Leadership Intelligence
Designed for mid-career executives, the LMU Executive MBA addresses management and leadership within a broad spectrum of organizations, teaching you how to understand core business principles, develop your leadership intelligence, apply your knowledge and learn to execute. Our curriculum uses actual business settings and case studies as a way to cement classroom concepts into practical, real-world applications.
Our Executive MBA program prepares you to:
- Think strategically in today's global business environment.
- Make results driven decisions.
- Build and lead high-performing organizations.
- Be an effective, principled leader.
The LMU EMBA program is structured as a cohort and offers a modular curriculum in an executive setting. Members of your class begin the program at the same time in August and move through the curriculum together, completing the degree requirements for graduation as a group in May of year 2 — 22 months total.
Class is delivered in a hybrid format — 2 Saturdays a month on-campus and 1 Saturday a month online. There are 4 modules (fall, spring, fall, spring) and a summer session between year 1 and 2. The program includes a pre-program orientation residential, a year 1 domestic trip and a year 2 international trip.
LMU does not issue student (F-1) visas for the Executive MBA program. Non-U.S. citizens who are green card holders or have visa types that allow university study (such as work visas and dependent visas) may apply to the program.
