Established in 1993, University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) was the first international and Australian university in the UAE, and is now part of a global brand that has campuses in Australia, Hong Kong and Malaysia. 

With a 26-year track record, the University offers internationally-recognised degrees that are accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), Australia’s independent national quality assurance and regulatory agency for higher education, the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the UAE Ministry of Education – Higher Education Affairs, and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

UOWD’s curriculum and teaching practices reflect those of UOW Australia, which ranks among the top 2% of universities worldwide. Master of Business Administration
Type of Program:
Full-time or part-time, depending upon the number of subjects taken per semester. Full-time study load for postgraduate programs is defined as two (2) or more subjects per semester where each subject requires one evening of attendance per week.
Accreditation:
All UOWD academic programs are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education - Higher Education Affairs and quality assured by the University of Wollongong in Australia, which is registered with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), the national regulator of the higher education sector in Australia
Ranking:
The University of Wollongong (UOW) has been ranked as one of the top 200 universities in the world (QS World University Rankings 2016).UOW is rated among the Top 10 Universities in Australia based on the QS World University Rankings of 2016.
UOW was awarded the “Commonwealth University of the Year” in 2006 (CAU).

Starting Dates:
Autumn semester:September - January
Spring semester: January - May
Summer semester: June - August
Length of Course: Normally students would study for 3 semesters each year and take 2 subjects per semester. Based on this,  the normal duration for the MBA is two years.

Admissions

University degree: A recognised Bachelors Degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
GMAT: Admission is based on performance in undergraduate studies and required work experience. GMAT is not typically a requirement. 
English language requirements: TOEFL  (88 – internet based, 231 – computer based, 575 – paper based) or IELTS 6.5 (overall).
Work Experience: 2 years
