Developing an international mindset is one of the core aims of our EMBA, and integrated in the DNA of Antwerp Management School and its partners. Our level of internationalisation in terms of the design and delivery of the Executive MBA far surpasses that available in any other similarly-ranked EMBA programme. Perhaps this is why the Financial Times rates the “degree of internationalisation” of our EMBA to be 23rd in the world.
If your ambition includes the dream of building an international career, either as an expatriate or as someone “home-based” with international responsibilities, you will discover that we offer the best preparation available.
Antwerp- and Paris-based EMBA participants together experience intensive residential weeks at our partner institutions. During these, the cultural diversity of the combined Executive MBA participants is further enhanced by the addition of students from our local partners in the US, Asia and Africa. To ensure total immersion, we consciously decide to include the cost of the hotel and dinners in the tuition fee, so aiming to keep all participants together as much as possible.
2 new seminars: American University of Cairo & Singapore Management University
Every year we evaluate our partners and the international business context, constantly aiming to improve the international experience. This year we added two new institutions, more specifically Singapore Management University & the American University of Cairo (AUC).
In February 2022, we organised the first international seminar for our new EMBA cohort. The American University of Cairo hosted an exciting seminar on intercultural awareness, international business negotiations and “how to do business in Africa and the Middle East”. The networking with the participants from Cairo, the new environment and the generosity of AUC made it a top learning experience. We will build upon this experience to provide an even better seminar in 2023!
Next academic year, we are planning on immersing our students in business in Singapore with the help of Singapore Management University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB). LKCSB is a dynamic Asian business school with about 3,000 students and more than a hundred full-time faculty members with postgraduate degrees from renowned universities such as Cornell (US), Harvard (US), INSEAD (France), Oxford (UK), Stanford (US) and Yale (US). The first part of our visit is an immersion in Asian business culture through seminars and company visits. In the second part, our international course experience comes together in a module on International Business Management. The quality of our partner, their faculty and their students will turn this seminar into the climax of our international track.
International faculty delivering global content
The international orientation of the Executive MBA programme is further enhanced by the leadership of professors with impressive global experience in research, consulting and EMBA-level education. A full two-thirds of the teaching personnel are of non-Belgian nationality, reinforcing the international nature of the examples, cases and real-world business experience shared in classroom sessions. We select the faculty from top business schools worldwide. Our continuous evaluation guarantees an education that is up-to-date and relevant for our participants.
