Whether you’re looking to break into a new industry, earn a promotion, or launch your own business, an MBA is one of the most powerful investments you can make in your career.
Why an MBA?
Success in today’s business world requires leaders who understand how key functions like finance, marketing, sales, and human resources work together to drive strategic success. If you’re coming from one specialisation, it can feel difficult to feel confident across each of these pillars. That’s why the Surrey MBA is structured to build fluency across every core business function, not just your own specialisation.
The Surrey MBA offers a tailored learning experience that enhances both personal and professional growth, focusing on the practical application of core business principles with real businesses in mind. With a combination of group training, guest speaker sessions, and mock job interviews, the programme is designed to develop your business acumen as well as your confidence as a leader.
Real outcomes from the 2024 MBA cohort
Of course, success looks different for everyone. Surrey Business School spoke to the programme’s 2024 cohort to hear about the achievements that they’ve had as a result of their time and skills learnt on the MBA.
This is what they went on to achieve:
- The opportunity to attend and present at several international conferences associated with the University of Surrey. MBA graduate Rashmi: “One of the highlights was visiting Qatar to present my research findings, an experience that further expanded my global exposure and network.” Rashmi also had research published whilst she was taking her MBA and adds that this “reflects the practical and impactful nature of my MBA experience at Surrey.”
- Entrepreneurial success. Raj has a goal of building a global marketing agency and after graduating he’s confirmed that the Surrey MBA enabled him to take the first step. Raj now has two offices in India employing more than 15 people with a 50+ client base of textile-based retailers and 25+ brands to market for in South India.
- Taking the next step in your current workplace. Susan completed the MBA programme at Surrey alongside her full- time position: “Within two months of achieving the Surrey MBA I was promoted to Head of Operations.”
Where do Surrey MBA graduates go next?
